A Word From Your Pastor
I am passing on this note to all of you for your wonderful efforts on behalf of the 2021 Bishop’s Annual Appeal:
Dear Msgr. Enke,
Thank you for your leadership in this year’s Bishop’s Annual Appeal. I am very grateful to the parishioners of St. Edward the Confessor Church, who through their generous support have exceeded their 2021 BAA Parish Goal.
As we continue to reimagine how the Church serves Her people here in the Diocese of Columbus, the needs of our local communities continue to grow. We are on a mission to increase the presence of Christ throughout the Diocese and uphold the faith for future generations. A successful BAA is critical to our efforts.
Please share my sincere gratitude with the faithful of St. Edward the Confessor Church. I ask for your continued prayers for the success of this year’s Bishop’s Annual Appeal as we strive to live the Gospel fully and joyfully.
Fraternally yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Robert J. Brennan
Bishop of Columbus
An Invitation (Temporary)
Some of our parishioners would like to return to Mass on a regular basis but want to maintain social distance and wear a mask. To accommodate those parishioners and to encourage them to return to Mass on a regular basis, the area to the left of the altar – left side of the church as you look at the altar from the main doors will be reserved for those parishioners who wish to wear a mask and social distance. (You may park in the back lot or the main lot.)
The pews will be marked accordingly. Social distance and masks will be required for those who sit in this area. The goal is for the entire community to feel safe, welcomed, and loved. Hopefully this arrangement meets the needs of parishioners who have yet to return to Mass because of ongoing covid concerns.
This will begin at all weekend Masses on July 31 and Aug. 1 at the conclusion of our online Masses.
I am sharing a nice note received this week from a parishioner:
Dear Msgr. Enke, Dcn. Barbour, Music Director Paul Radkowski,
Words will not adequately express our thankfulness and appreciation for the virtual masses as we isolated. We want to acknowledge your extra efforts. Thank you for helping us feel a part of the weekly Masses. We never felt forgotten. It is wonderful to be able to return. We missed you. Cathy Wine and Margaret Tubaugh
God bless
Msgr Enke
