Anthony "Tony" Lisska Ph. D. obituary
Please pray for the soul of Tony Lisska. Funeral Mass for Tony will be Saturday, September 24th - 10:00 am at St. Edward Church. Continue to keep his wife Marianne, and their children in your prayers.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
Next collection for St. Vincent de Paul is Oct 8/9.

Saturday Morning Mens Faith Sharing & Fellowship
"All men of the parish -confirmation age to 101 ARE INVITED:
Please join the Saturday morning mens faith sharing & fellowship group this October for the Rescue Project. The Rescue project is an 9 week program designed to help you understand salvation history and our responsiblilty to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world. (evangelization). The program is based on Father John Riccardos book, "Rescued" that discusses 4 things: Created, Captured, Rescued, Response: what we were CREATED for, how we were CAPTURED by disobedience & sin, how we have been RESCUED from that sin and disobedience, and how should RESPOND to the One who has rescued us..
We will meet every Saturday @ 7 am in the hall beginning Sat., Oct. 1.
Week 1, Sat., Oct. 1 will begin with BREAKFAST at 6:45 am.
The presentation for week 1 is "The Importance of Stories".
Hope you can join us week 1 , Sat. ,Oct. 1 for BREAKFAST, the presentation and small group sharing.

Pro Life Poster Contest
Saint Edward the Confessor Respect Life Committee is having a poster contest open to all students from kindergarten through 12th grade for members of St. Edward Church. Deadline for entries is September 30th. Entry form and rules in the gathering space Good luck everyone!
YOUTH GROUP
I want to remind all the youth of St. Ed's grades 8th-12th grade that we are meeting for youth group this Sunday, September 18 from 6-8 pm.

STREET HOMELESS OUTREACH ~ Items needed
Hello everyone,
St. Edward's youth group is collecting donations for a Street Homeless Outreach. We are asking the parish to help. Please drop off donations in the box in the Gathering Space. Below are the donations needed. Clothing for Adult Men & Women - socks & underwear (New in package), T-shirts, shirts, pants, sweaters, shorts, jackets, coats, gloves, scarves, and shoes. Toiletries – travel size shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and female hygiene products. Food - granola bars, bottled water, juice boxes, chips, cookies, and other snacks. We will also take warm food during the year - coffee, hot chocolate, sandwiches, and hot dogs.
