I do. It’s the right thing to do—and I’ll be honest, it also helps me sleep better at night knowing I’m not just binge-watching NETFLIX while someone else does all the donating. Giving to The Appeal is my way of putting my faith into action—and by action, I mean finally opening my wallet for something besides another piece of bike equipment or a new streaming service. It’s not just a donation; it’s a chance to help real people—like seminarians, kids in Catholic schools who need books and families who could use a hand. My gift might be small (like, “skip-one-latte” small), but when we all chip in, it adds up. It feels great to be part of something bigger than myself—and not because it might keep Bishop Earl from calling me late night asking me to donate more to make up for those of you who can’t see their way to donate at all.
