We begin a new Liturgical Season in the life of the Catholic Church, and we are in the process of opening a new adventure in the life of Granville, Saint Edward the Confessor. Recently, I have convened a group of people of a variety of ages and backgrounds to begin a discussion that will open the path to our common future.
Since my arrival in Granville in July 2023, I have asked on many occasions for names of people who would be able to assist in such a process. Introducing the Steering Committee
We have been sharing updates about the exciting Strategic Planning process taking root at Church of St. Edward the Confessor—and the momentum continues to grow! As these important conversations unfold, we are delighted to introduce the members of our Strategic Planning Steering Committee. This enthusiastic and dedicated group is helping shape dialogue, spark vision, and guide our parish forward as we prayerfully discern the path ahead and work together to build a vibrant, united future for our parish family.

As this process continues, we are seeking a few parishioners with experience in facilitation, organization, communication, or data-related work who are interested in lending their time and talents to the Steering Committee. These individuals would support parish-wide listening sessions and town hall meetings, help moderate focus groups, assist in developing surveys, and contribute to data organization and analysis. If you have experience in any of these areas and feel called to help shape the future of St. Edward Church, we warmly invite you to step forward and be part of this meaningful work.

Honor a Loved One This Christmas
We are accepting donations for
poinsettias to adorn our church
this Christmas season! Contributions may be made in memory or in honor of a loved one (please specify). Use your Christmas Flower Offering envelope or return the form in the bulletin to the Parish Office by December 14. Checks may be made payable to Church of St. Edward the Confessor, and the suggested donation is $20.
Prepare Your Heart for Advent
Embrace the spirit of the season and join Deacon Adrian Kyambadde for two Advent Preparation Sessions. These gatherings offer insights on how different cultures prepare for Christmas, a musical presentation by our parish musicians, and reflections by Deacon Adrian. Sessions are held on Tuesday, December 2 and Tuesday, December 9 at 6:00 p.m. in Enke Parish Hall. We hope to see you there!
